Hey gang! Using a chemical steriliser first time, will rinsing the fermenter with the shower head make for a bad time in the long run?

What steriliser are you using? But I think everything would be fine as long as it's a clean, sterilised shower head not a really old mouldy one ...

Its the Ballyhoo kit steriliser, Vinclasse, and the shower head ain't the cleanest. With likely go from kitchen tap by just wanted to gauge the hive mind!

Does it smell like bleach?
Just don't use the shower head and rinse the hell out of it...buy some chemsan type stuff for the future...

I agree with Clint. If it's for sanitising, no rinse is the way to go. I use videne and citric acid. It cuts down on the amount of time, effort and water it takes to do anything and you don't risk reinfecting from rinse water or taps.

Absolutely, first and last time using Vinclasse. Never ending circle, having to sterilise, rinse, resterilise etc
