Hi all,

I plan to bottle my sloe gin in the next few weeks and would like to add my spent sloes to a cider.

I made cider earlier in the year but it was a lot of work so am thinking of using apple juice for this brew.

I am struggling to find a recipe for sloe cider that isn’t just a cocktail made with cider...

would It be ok to follow a turbo cider recipe and add the spent sloes at the start of the process?

thanks

Depends on how many sloes you plan on adding,If its a lot you will stall the fermentation due to all the gin.
Personally i would add them after fermentation is finished and at the start of the clearing process.
If its only a few then go ahead.

Fresh sloes in contrast would and should be added at the very start.
