Received one of these kits off Ebay recently. The use by sticker has been peeled off and the juice bottle has RED 2817 printed on it. I reckon it's out of date, and the seller has a history of selling out of date kits with the label peeled off in his feedback. Should I bin it all?

I wouldn't worry too much -
I've just checked my stock - all the juice bottles have a number ending in 18 (although not an actual date), but the use by dates are all in 2020...

I'd imagine it's going to be fine. The sugar content I believe acts as a natural preservative of sorts.

I just acquired a 30 bottle pinot grigio kit that went out of date in 2012, but started it anyway - if it's no good, it hasn't cost anything other than a wee bit of time and a yeast sachet..

Whoever you bough them from is an idiot or lazy, why hasn't he made his own use by stickers like everyone else on ebay?
