AAaaarghh... realised this morning that when I did this bad boy at the weekend I forget to take the 'next' starter from the refreshed levain #sawed_off_the_branch_i_was_standing_on aheadbutt

Fortunately I'd kept 35g of starter in the freezer as an emergency backup. Time to see if it's viable...
Patient was defrosted and fed 1:1:1 at about 9am. looked hopefully in there just now (4pm ish) but no real signs of life yet - maybe one bubble?

Oh well, if the worst comes to the worst I've shared my starter with at least four other people so I might need to get a bit back from them :-)

good luck with it! I've not fed my starter for about three months, it's currently in the back of my fridge. Kind of dreading opening it up

A lot of people seem to have luck drying their sourdough starters to keep as backup
