Sovereign hops

Is there a problem with Sovereign hops? Do they go under a different name or is there an equivalent?

Have looked around CML and Geterbrewed but can't seem to find them. Am only looking for around 50g for a trial recipe but they seem a little elusive.

Yeah, lots of places seem to be out of sovereign. Didn't know whether it had been a bad crop or something...

Could be a number or reasons, such as as you suggest, a bad crop. Also we HBers are last in line when it comes to getting out hands on hops. The big breweries have contract years ahead with hop growers, then the smaller micro get to buy, then finally whats left we HBers can buy. So if the crop isnt as large for a particular year, there's not much left for us to buy
