Storage of Reverse Osmosis unit

Hi, I’ve just bought a Vyair 50GPD RO unit with DI resin but will only use it once every six weeks. Can anyone advise me how to store the unit between uses to maximise the life of the resin and cartridges? Thanks in advance

I’ve put taps on the inflow and outflow tubing which I close off to keep water in the cartridges between uses. I‘m over 6 months in now and the TDS meter is still coming in under 5ppm with each use.

Is bacteria growth a concern? Like the above I valve mine off at both ends.

I don’t think so, i give it a 5 minute flush before and after use and the water gets boiled anyway. I’m brewing very 2 or 3 weeks so it doesn’t sit for too long in between.
