Hey guys, I'm was going to make some spring Oak Leaf Wine, recipe from OAK LEAF WINE:
  • 4.5L loosely packed freshly picked oak leaves
  • 250g raisins
  • 1kg sugar – 1.08SG
  • 4 oranges and zest of 2
  • 2 lemons and zest
  • Sachet of yeast (SN9)
  • 1 tsp yeast nutrient
  • 4.5l boiling water
I bought some kit this week and they kindly threw in a Youngs Chardonnay Kit - this one: Youngs Wine Buddy Chardonnay Wine Kit Makes 30 Bottles | Wilko

What do you think about subbing out the 250g raisins for some of the chardonnay (no idea what concentration it is). And maybe even some of the sugar too?

This will be my first winemaking in a long time, been doing AG beer though.

Cheers!

Michael

Dude just use raisins and make the kit whole separately! Then you get the best of both worlds right?
