Suggested wine yeast

Hey there fellow brew peeps

So I’ve been back brewing beer for a few years now. I used to do wine kits years ago (maybe 20!). Got some rhubarb in the garden and fancied giving a rhubarb wine a go. I’ve seen the thread with recipes but wondered about recommended yeast? Is there like an S-05 equivalent as a good all round wine yeast? Suggestions (and good recipes!) welcome

Crossmyloof actually sell a yeast labelled ‘Rhubarb Wine yeast’ which might be worth a go.

can’t say if it’s any good as I haven’t tried the sachet I’ve got yet lol

My favorite wine yeast is EC 1118
But having said that Youngs super wine yeast compound does have the advantage of containing nutrient and finings all "built in" ,
Saving the winemaker from having to worry about these things.
I can also vouch for some exellent results using it.

Gervin No 9 is good for rhubarb

I’ve ordered up a gervin number 9 and some generic wine yeast - just waiting for them to be delivered now
