Supporting Membership Ads

I don't think you need to be a supporting member. It's just a question of disabling ads in preferences. I've got these horrors, too.
It also begs the question of what does HBF flog on Amazon and e-by-gum, I couldn't find any tangible products.

Supporting members used to be able to turn adverts off but it looks like a setting may have changed as I now see them with the "don't view adverts" option ticked in my preferences, I am sure @THBF will let us know later.

Yes. Very tacky. Where can you get a pint of beer in a lantern glass this side of 1960? (The ebay ad) and Amazon seems to specialise in sloppily served short measures. We're experts on beer and those do the forum no favours.

As Chopps said in post #9 they are affiliate links making money for THBF which helps keep the forum running.
Supporting members pay £6 per year to get the benefits listed below one of which is "The ability to turn off advertisements" i have a feeling as i said above a setting has changed forcing supporting members to view them even if they choose not to, i am sure we will find out soon enough when @THBF logs in.
