Ok I have a confession to make, I can't stand the taste of wort after I have taken my OG reading. I feel that I should keep on checking my worts incase there is any faults that need to be found. But I cannot stand the taste   :?

Am I alone, in this feeling? And yet once the yeast has done its thing

i've got to admit i'm with you on that one. it's just far too sweet (and sour/grassy if i've used alot of bittering hops)

weirdly though i like horlicks which is essentially a similar flavour

I like the taste of it. It's yummy.

I always taste the very first runnings-the ones you recirc. They taste wonderfull. The last runnings are a bit bland.
