I was just in my local Tesco and saw among the kitchen section a Wherry homebrew starter set.
The kit includes:

• 25L FV with lid
• Stirring spoon
• Hydrometer
• Cleaner/steriliser
• Siphon and sediment trap
• Wherry kit(3kg)

I wonder if they have something going with Woodfordes now as in the beer aisle, they had bottled wherry, which I have never seen in a supermarket round my way before.

Hi just seen same on Wowcher, £35 and £8.50 delivery. Might be of use to somebody not near Tesco.

i got an amber ale, didn't stop to look if there were actually different kits. Does anyone know if there's more than one or are they all amber ale?

I anyone was interested the kit is WOODFORDE'S WHERRY AMBER ALE & The sterilizer in the kit is Muntons Branded bruclens sterilizer cleanser and deodorizer 50g

I have a so called tesco superstore over the road and not stocking this item. @20 it would be worth getting a couple.

Been to our local tesco and looked again and nothing so I asked an assistant and low and behold they were out the back. Result for £20 as you couldn't buy it separately for that price and £40 is a good price.
