would i be right in saying ,that you are using campden tabs in the all grain or/and extract, where the water gets boiled?
my question is, can they be used if you want to brew a kit? would you need to treat the water first in a seperate fv before adding it to the fv containing the wort? .with just using cold tap water and not boiling ,would adding the campden tablet kill of the yeast?

If you are going to do this with a kit you would need to wait at least 24 hours before adding the yeast. Campden won't kill the yeast, but it will stun them into inactivity. Not something you want when you first pitch your yeast.
