How did the French national anthem "La Marseillaise" get its name?
Hmmm... Guessing a bit here. Did Napoleon land at or near Marseille after his first exile and raise a band of followers to start his march onto Paris to regain power?

Kicking myself for not knowing this for sure!

Close enough, the War Song for the Armies of the Rhine was sung by volunteers marching from Marseille to Paris and the association gave the song its new name.

Nope, Mt Everest is the highest point above sea level, but because the earth isn’t round, there’s somewhere further from the centre

Its got to be near the equator and at the top of a high peak, so the summit of Kilamanjaro or a mountain in the northern Andes.
