Poplar fire: Blaze damages middle floors of tower block
A fire has broken out at a 19-storey tower block in Poplar, east London.
Photos from the scene showed billowing black smoke reaching the top of the building on Fairmont Avenue.
Parts of the eighth, ninth and 10th floors of the tower block were alight, but the blaze has now been brought under control. More than 125 firefighters were sent to the scene.
"A number of people" were treated there, the London Ambulance Service said.
