Using grape juice concentrate, sugar content?

Hi

I have a 250ml bottle of Ritchie's white grape juice concentrate.

Does anybody know what the sugar content is or what it is equivalent to not concentrated?

I have a recipe which states 1 litre of White grape juice.

I know I could measure the sugar content with a hydrometer (might have to dilute first) but I would like to know so I can plan before opening the bottle.

Also if you buy wine making grape juice concentrate will this come from wine making grapes as opposed to eating grapes?

It's a shame the label doesn't provide any info on what it actually is...

I have had a looked through a few old threads and sugar content doesn't seem to have been mentioned, if you don't get an answer why not email Ritchies and see if they can give you the info, don't forget to update the thread if you get an answer. :thumba:

Doesn't fill me with confidence they can't say what grapes it is made from. I'm guessing it's just meant as an addition and isn't meant to provide the main flavor of the wine.

Give one litre of red grape juice and two litres of apple juice a try it turns out great.

Nice I think I'll try that one, does it need any acid or tannin adding?

Tannin yes (a strong mug of black tea will do the job)

Acid no in fact I stopped using acid altogether after a few months makig wow.
