I'm new to all this but am learning fast lol. I bought a winebuddy 32 bottle merlot and started it all of last Wednesday .Woke up this morning to find it had more or less exploded in kitchen !! Airlock was bunged up and froth everywhere .Is it normal to have a explosive fermentation like this and how long does the volcano spit out its fire ?i.e will it settle down .Ive replaced the airlock with just a hose going in to the airlock hole and the other end submerged in sterilising solution ,Its still bubbling away like crazy .Will it settle down soon ?
