No yours is an honest lager. Mine is actually a hazy IPA - except all the haze dropped out!

If I’m being honest I don’t bother with the hydrometer.. more fun to gauge it by how you feel after but I can’t remember the other night after a few of these! It’s just a bit of Pale and Torrified with citrus and east Kent

Drinking a fantastic NEIPA from @dan125 . I have tasted a few of yours at homebrew nights, but I think this is the best yet..a few more bottles please :small

How does the haze drop out?

Haze is proteins and polyphenols in suspension. If you get it wrong (or there is some other explanation where it’s not my fault ) these particles are too heavy to remain in suspension and the beer clears as they drop to the bottom.

If I’m honest sometimes I just make it up! Can’t claim to be a pro brewer or anything but it always turns out great and I get something different each time

ahhhh, thanks @MyQul . Looked up what the "steam" means and yep that sounds like it given the use of a lager yeast at ale temps.

If I ever made a Brewdog Punk IPA I'd use a calicommon yeast just so I could call it Steam Punk IPA
