The summer breeze is maybe on the sweet side but I am loving it. It's a nice change to the hazy IPA style.

I like Vienna malt. I don’t find it sweet but the Vienna does add a touch of sweetness, biscuity malt, and colour that isn’t there in pale malt.

Don't forget I made the early version with caramalt. Plus mine is 6% abv

My kiwi pale, this has really improved, it has an almost lemonade like aftertaste, think that's the riwaka hop. Bit of chill haze but it is clearing nicely.

This cloying pale ale is cloying no more it’s spot on now wow, it has lost it’s sweetness and is now fresh and will get drunk accordingly

Ah yes, you’re on the classic mk1 version! The caramalt is adding sweet on sweet so it might be more noticeable.

I’m looking forward to mk3 which is in the fermenter at the moment, just dry hopped today actually.

Trying this cold brewed porter next from siren
Nice coffee, slight chocolate. Good full body with low bitterness.

I think pale ales can be deceptively difficult. I’ve made many that were easy, few that have been good.

I think for me, I find it dificult to brew a beer around 5% and still make it full of flavour.

I just can't get a taste for this type of beer. Peanut porter

Not for me, flavour is artificial. I don't want to pour it out but it's really pushing it's luck. It's got really strong chocolate then a weird after taste. Strange aroma

Probably the last for tonight is this lively little number from Dark Star. 5.5% and flavoured with Citra and Centennial. It’s nice and flavoursome, has a soft mouthfeel, a crisp dry finish, and a light lingering bitterness. I’m enjoying it very much but it’s almost too clean, I think it needs a handful of Vienna malt!
