Cooled wort has been abandoned up at the brew-shed - it’s resting

Due to medical reasons, I’ve had to give up beer for the forseeable future. So I’ve found this, Nirvana Brewery in London specialises in no/low alcohol beer. This is their hoppy pale ale, very tasty and refreshing and beats the sh!t out of water. I’m going to follow it up with the ‘Dark and Rich Stout’. For what it is, it’s very good.

I know I am sounding like a stuck record but this AG Wye Valley HPA copy is probably the best I have ever brewed (still using a 36 year old Electrim boiler) so many thanks to those who posted the recipe on here. It has been in the bottle two months now and it has taken this long for the bready effect of the wheat malt to come through. The Backyard Blonde bottle it came out of is too good to chuck particularly with that name and the beer was good too!

The advection fog that has covered Castlerock for the last few evenings has finally cleared. I can almost see the Donegal headland across the mouth of the Foyle estuary. Enjoying a glass of Cote d’ Rhone while it’s still warm enough to sit outside.

I could see the fog in the way home this evening from magilligan right up. Used to be the same when we had a static in greencastle. By the time I got home from work it was into thick fog and wet. Used to do my head in 😡. Can now see it in the distance here at tullagh bay thankfully nowhere near me

It’s a bit of a bummer. I have actually remembered to bring up my camera and tripod for once. As the sun sets over Greencastle we get treated to the most amazing colours, glowing red skys and deep azure seas. I was planning on joining the local youths in the sand dunes with a big carryout and taking some photos.

Were you out with the camera a few years ago when everyone seen the UFO’s over magilligan/greencastle ? Was the strangest thing I have ever seen.

Afraid not, I struggle to capture the terrestrial adequately, I’m going to try to master sunsets and mountains before moving on to the extraterrestrial🤣.
