This was the first proper beer I started drinking ( other than summer lightning). Not had it in 20 years.... ish, reminds me of cheese and onion crisps, love it.

It’s really really good. Chocolate caramel biscuit. Smells and tastes amazing. I can still smell it in the glass after pouring the faith hazy.

After tasting my Tanglefoot ESB I had rashly sent into competition for the first time, about which the kindest thing that could be said is, it needs time...

I following that up with a Hazelwood Stout.



which, although not a patch on the original I'm sure, tastes pretty good to me. Very chocolatey.

Festbier Zwei.... Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen... Darker, maltier than the first. More substantial but I think I preferred the simplicity of the first. Lovely to try them though and different to my usual hoppy nonsense.
