Very simple recipe from Graham Wheeler's book
22 litres
5000g Maris Otter
40g Challenger @ 60 minutes
20g EKG @ 15 minutes
20g EKG @ 20 minutes hop stand
Nottingham or CML Midland yeast
As I threatened to SWMBO'D, I brewed this Monday for her, but volume and ingredients scaled down a little to 20L.
The EKGs were all my locally gathered ones.
One addition was this year, the other one last year's.
The fermentation aroma is freshly floral/fruity.
I love a little crystal hint, so 100g substituted in, as was some mixed crushed cereal grains for some head.
I hope it's allowed to modify a GW recipe a little.
Thanks @Cheshire Cat

Two pints of ‘Grand Finale’ – aka CD’s Final Brew. It is my clone of the beer whose glass I’m drinking it from, and IMHO exceeds the bottled variety already. :beer1:
I love Jail Ale and I bought the glass and an eight pack at the Brewery shop a couple of months back. I also brew a clone with MO, wheat, crystal 55 and chocolate. I hop with Challenger and Fuggles.

Jest picked these up from Tesco for later
How did you find the Erdinger weiss?
I had one last night and hadn't had one for years. It tasted pants, but foolishly it was after I'd been out for a carvery and had 2 Guinness and think it ruined my palate. Not sure if I've got used to wheat beers with more clove and therefore found it a bit bland.

At the moment, however, I do not have an English Bitter as I am just finished cooking a batch of curry base, made a batch of mix powder and put Saturday nights chicken in a marinade..but ghat could change very soon!

You need to get an English Bitter on, and sharpish!

This is from the magic Jesus keg...I just moved the 5 points keg to the shed. When the MJK is empty I shall brew an English Bitter for it. Anything you suggest?
