What's the pub the station side of the river bridge with the toilet in the bar that was my favourite when we had a year in York 2003-2004. My second favourite was the Black Swan as the Folk Club was awesome.

The Maltings? If so we love that pub! They sell some really nice wine, which I ended up finding out what it was and buying it from source instead!

Not sure which bridge you mean, as there's three and they're all parallel 😁

Should I hang my head in shame?

My excuse was I was driving and it is snowing and I didn't want anything sweet. I have to say it was pretty awful.

It's the Maltings love the pub. The bridge near the station. We had a rented house near the cathedral for 12 months as I was based at Nestlé.

My own Half and half.
Didn't fancy another preprandial pint of the Meh! Saaz pale ale,
then had a 💡 moment.
The Hoppy Pale Ale of Kent has been described as a 'little intense' so I did the aforementioned with them.
Result!
Even SWMBO'D tasted and said, "hmm, that's alright"
Definitely not so in-your-face, but still a lingering after taste.
(predictive text tried to put, "lingerie taste" but that's a different left-field topic area altogether! ")
