38 C day today, slaved over a hot stove (air conditioning on) to transform 3.170 Kg of Santa Rosa plums into Spicy Plum Jam.
Put a six pack of Best Bitters in the fridge to celebrate completion, don't usually drink BB's at such a low temperature but made an exception today.
And to top it of my wife says I can call in reinforcements, bless her cotton socks.🥰

Had this Hop Nation Brewery "Karma" from a Beer52 box and loved it. Only 5% and head retention wasn't great but, it's a really creamy oatmeal stout with a heavy mouthfeel really nice aroma. The initial taste is toasted/mocha and the aftertaste is a subtle version of this. If I didn't know I would have definitely put it in the 10% abv+ range such was the experience. A wonderful brew in my opinion and a new favourite. Shared the can with my Mrs who also loved it.

This is great to know I've got one in the shed, only 2 more weeks to go before it's beer o clock 😭😅

German Pilsner. It’s quite a nice lager I think. It has that dry cracker malt, light to medium bitterness, mild hop flavour (a little more on the nose), no off-flavours or aromas as far as I can tell - I’m no expert in lagers. Carbonation is good for me but probably a bit light for the style.

I do like this Pilsner but I still prefer my Czech Pilsner flavoured with beautiful Saaz hops.

I should say the beer does have a slight haze because I’m drinking it young. It’s just under 3 weeks out of the fermenter.

My Polish boss got me some polish Beers to try for Xmas.

No idea what this is but it looks strong. Normally only drink weekends but didn't this weekend and I'm working from home so sod it!

Might need a lighter one to follow up 🤣

With my first ever lager scheduled for the brew after next, I picked up a few lagers in Tesco today, purely for research purposes ;)
This first one is lovely and clean but maybe a bit light - I'd like a bit more maltiness in mine 🤔

That one is delicious. Try a festbier if you want maltier.
