First sampling of my English IPA that I'm entering into the LAB Open.

Genuinely quite chuffed with this; Chevallier malt with EKG and First Gold hops, which gives it a nice marmalade vibe without it being really in your face. Head retention is probably the best I've had as well, which I'd guess is down to the addition of some torrified wheat.

Enjoyed the first one enough to warrant a second

Looks far better than my attempt, mine is a really good flavour though. Looking forward to trying the corny after lagering is complete and will definitely brew again.

It has the lactic acid smell but tastes slightly sweet due to the added lactose I imagine.

Nope no kiwi. Yes it is kind of sweet and sour. But more like ‘sweetened sour’.
