I wasn’t able to post last night on account of being in the air (and sitting on the plane for an hour waiting for clearance - something to do with French ATC restrictions ). Anyway, the beer…

This isn’t one of mine, this is Spitfire, my bitter is still in the fermenter. I’ve got to use the keg I’d set aside for the bitter to transfer that leafy keg of Summer Breeze into, then I can use the keg the Summer Breeze is in currently.

The husband is finally home so we can now share these two beers from @DocAnna.

Clementine Gose is everything it says on the can - it’s fresh, fruity and refreshing with the salt and coriander coming through nicely.

The perle pilsner is a very good example of how nice a beer can turn out if you give it a chance.

Many thanks for sending all three beers. I enjoyed all three of them, but I must admit my favourite of the three was the red festbier. It was stunning. 😀

Jealous of DocAnna's Cannery ❤🤢

Spending a day with the hubby after our 4 days apart (hideous time for both of us as we’re so close), so we’ve come to the local. We’ve lived here for over 2 years and it’s the husbands first time here, my second time.

I have half a strawberry and lime rekorderlig on tap, and the husband has a cask ‘white rat’. I’ve never heard of it, but it’s a pale hoppy beer.

Had a half of this at the White Lion last night:
"It looks like a pale but tastes like a stout? That’s Hoodwink messing with your mind. Made with lactose, vanilla and white chocolate this luscious dessert beer has disguised its decadent purpose in the finery of a golden ale. Hoodwink, this is one trick you will enjoy being played on you."

Sorry, but... YUCK.
Way too sweet and chewy: like someone had dumped a scoop of ice cream in my glass while I wasn't looking.
