Busy day today. Was at a funeral at 10 this morning for a friend taken too early by cancer leaving a 51 year old widow. Sad morning then birthday pints of scraggy bay

with my godson and a bite to eat. Back home now with a pint of kinnegar crossroads before getting stuck into the wine and binge watching American gods.
Cheers to everyone.

I’m going to treat myself with this Vocation clone from @dan125 I was lucky enough to bring back from homebrew club (along with that beautifully refreshing golden ale from @dave_77 ).

To get a homebrew beer this hoppy, this clean, and this good is really impressive. Hats off to you Dan, great job! :hat:

I've got an attempt at a clone in the FV as we speak, be interested to see how they compare 🤔 Looks great 👌

@chrisb8 festive ale, lovely dark brown colour, thin head which lasts most of the glass. Aroma, smells like coca cola, loads of aniseed, very sweet, exactly what you want for winter. Flavour, malty, some stone fruit. Thought it was a bit thin at first but as it warms I realised it isn't, not sure if I can give any constructive criticism really, I think it's great. I'd drink this all night, thanks for sending me one, really appreciate it.

Friends have left and i am finishing off with a porter. Plan was to dent my kegs and that failed, ended up with more beers than I started with. Which is always the case but at least these are quality beers, I think I am finally converting people to craft.

@Leon103 export porter (with a white cap🤣!)

Nice hiss on opening, thin head which lasts. Not much of an aroma, but some malt in there. Dark as the night and pours like it has some body to it. Flavour, bit of roast, some coffee and some hops, chinook maybe? Very nice flavour. Less body than I thought it had to it, but it came out of a very cold shed. Not sure of the abv but it tastes like it has some strength to it. Overall it's a good beer, and I'd be very happy to have another. 👍 Thanks for sharing!
