A pale ale fermented with kviek cultured up from IMG_20190920_210212338.jpg the dregs of a bottle of old ale sent to me by @Zephyr259 ages ago. Pretty darn good if I do say so myself!

Well last night I was drinking my rubbish brew which was made using all the left over grain from previous brews some of which was nearly 2 years old.
It's quite funny how good it tastes especially after sitting in the keg for a while.

    1. Home brew accidental Helles, with a hop infusion of hops from a plant I'm going to harvest that a family friend has in her garden

    2. Pint of EKG user upper. Gosh, this is turning out nice.

    3. Commercial bottle of Coopers Best Extra stout.

A cheeky pint of my Mainline Bitter No.2. Only 6 days in the keg and it's carbonated to a nice low level already and is almost clear thanks to the Kwik-Clear finings.

I'd forgotten how much I like this recipe and it'll be great to see how this matures over the next few weeks.

Last bottle of accidental Helles. Now a few pints of my 7% EKG user upper. In my defense, it was our 8 year olds birthday this week, and she was adamant she wanted an old fashioned home birthday party, with musical chairs, bumps, statues, pass the parcel, and so on, rather than a party at a play area or similar. Whilst, it was absolutely fantastic to see 10 screaming 7 and 8 year olds enjoy themselves so much, we are both a bit tired now and fancy a drink. acheers.

Snaffled myself a couple of bottles of beers from under the bar this afternoon, both from local brewers . Gert Lush 6.3% A cloudy fruity IPA from Pipeline brewery. Also have a couple of bottles left from a case of Driller 5.1% IPA from Granite Rock Brewery. Hansome..!!

Enjoying a mild brewed from David Heath's recipe, ended up using voss kveik as forgot to order the recommended yeast.

Great tasting mild at only 3.2%.

High Five Hazy IPA by Yellow Dog. A great example of the Northeast IPA style. Hopped with citra and mosaic and a whopping 7% ABV. If it weren't for the high ABV this would be a great, easy-drinking session ale.
