Hi,
I brand new to kegging, just ordered the Draft Brewer Cannonball Mini Keg System in the Beer Hawk Sale. It's to see if kegging is for me and it's small so I can put it in a fridge so I though I would take the plunge. It comes with ball lock beer and gas lines and a CO2PO Single Body Regulator https://www.beerhawk.co.uk/co2po-single-body-regulator
I plan to force carb so I can see the difference when compared to priming sugar

So my question is can anyone let me know what CO2 canister I need ? do I need to purchase any special adapters or anything to connect ?.

I went for sodastream bottle which you can get from any argos and probably many other places. IIRC it's £22.99 for the first canister and then £14.99 for an exchange thereafter whenever you need it.

You can't use them directly on the regulator though so I also ordered a cheap Chinese adaptor, whilst it works I would have gone for one that has some shut off valve in the adaptor (there are videos and info around) this is the adaptor I used however https://www.co2supermarket.co.uk/sodastream-cylinder-valve-adapter-co2-regulators-p1.html

You can get them for less than half the price of this link so do shop around.

Sodastream is not cheap in comparison to pub bottle gas but I find it much more convenient and space saving so my wife can't complain

Most get a cylinder similar, if not the same, to what they use in pubs. Holds around 6kg of CO2 and should be marked as food grade. Should last you a long time. Most places will want a deposit on the cylinder (~£30 - £50) which is refundable if don't need it anymore in future, refills cost between £15 & £30 and a cylinder should last quite a long time. Just Google gas suppliers in your local area and make enquires.
