Will you drink in Wetherspoons when pubs re-open?

Well, you can't modify the way chickens behave by not buying their eggs but you can definitely influence a capitalist by going elsewhere.
This is what I said in my first post its all to do with politics, doesn't matter if you go to another pub pay more for a beer the money is still ending up in the hands of a capitalist, publican and brewer.
Does it not matter to the socialists that Wetherspoons employ 43,000 people and give millions of pounds to charity. Seems its more about envy, the most negative emotion humans have.

Foxy you do not know what my OP was about it was not political it was a straight question yes or no. Do not try and say what was in my mind.

I don't like the man, but I respect him and his business model. I think he is arrogant and pompus, but I don't think he is as bad as the media loves to make him out to be.

In regards to his comments on his staff having to go find new jobs at Tesco (notice how I said having to), I believe this was because there was no clarity on the JRS to begin with. As such Tim wrote guidelines as to how the scheme should/could work. He did this to speed up the process and give certainty. I don't believe he did this for the sole purpose of saving staff and ensuring ongoing pay (likely also to do with the company share price(have a look)), but I do think this was part of it.

Also, having worked in a company that has a lot of buying power (working in procurement), often even when trying to be ethical and fair, suppliers will offer overly competitive and non profitable terms just to win a contract. Part by ego, part by ignorance (the whole "if I can just get in here, my whole business will be better"). I can't say that's the same at JDW but I again don't think they are the big bad wolf that the media makes out.

When I raised this post it was supposed to be a straight yes or no. But it gets political with the right winger supporting Tim and the left wingers slating him. As I said on OP I boycott sadly as I like his good pubs but hate him so if I could I would close this post.

Did you honestly think when you started the thread no one would give their opinions, I thought you had been here long enough to know that is not how the Snug works even if you had stated in the OP that members should vote but not comment we would still have ended up here.

Look closely, I was replying to scrattajack, you already told us your reasons were you just plain hate him, find it hard to believe you can hate some one without even meeting them!

I don't like chickens, the way they strut around with their superior airs and graces, but I eat their eggs.
Yes, but if you don’t agree with farmers’ practices you would refuse to eat cage or barn eggs and only eat free range.

Equally ridiculous to know whether you like someone based on what you hear in the media.
Yeah, I'd tend to agree with that. I don't think I ever said I did though - I make up my mind on who to vote for based on what I see and read, that's not the same as liking them personally though.

Yes but you said you didn't have to meet someone to dislike them, nothing about voting. If you don't meet them, what do you base the dislike on?
