Winchesters

I have about 8 winchesters (brown demijohns with screw tops) can anyone advise if it is ok to bottle cider or beer in them(can they with stand the pressure) as they do not have written on them " this is not a pressurised container " like the clear ones have ............many thanks in advance.

I wouldn't use them. We've had them explode when they've been sealed up with waste solvents in them.
