Just in case you feel snowed under with worrying about sanitation, percentage this, percentage that, how long to leave it here or there, temperatures, hydrometer readings etc. etc. Well here's a recipe from a book I have - `Home-made Country Wines, Beer, Mead and Metheglin' compiled by the Farmers Weekly and first published in 1955.

I'm all for a few twigs! Looking at the title thread I thought it was an in depth study of the effects of hb on manly activities. ....and I can confirm that while quaffing I think I may have burnt the garlic while thrashing up something hot and spicy! But..I will soldier on...
