Wort how long before beer tat not right

How long have people/ brewers kept their beer on the wort before you get off flavours?
I am looking to keep mine on the wort for about a month after fermentation has finished because needing to get a new barrel.
Do you think I will be ok?

Firstly - the wort is the pre-fermented beer. You mean the trub - which is the cake of yeast at the bottom of the fermenter after fermentation.
Leaving it on the trub for a month after it's finished fermenting is asking for trouble. Any oxygen that gets in there will turn your beer into a cardboard tasting thing. Any bugs will turn it to vinegar etc.
I'd bottle it if I were you. In 2 Ltr plastic fizzy water bottles if you have nothing else.
 
yes sorry, trub.I would not be opening my fermenter and have an airlock, so was looking for an opinion of people's experinces.
