Yeast nutrient needed?

I’m planning a brew using the Kveik Voss dried yeast and read it needed yeast nutrient. I bought the one from Wilco but it seems it’s intended for Wine so the instructions are useless. Can someone suggest how much I should add and when to a 23l batch please?

As far as I know a nutrient supplement is more important if the OG is less than about 1.050, but I would add a teaspoon of DAP near the end of the boil.

Thanks @strange-steve. I’m expecting the OG to be around 1.048 so will stick a teaspoon in to be sure.

Actually what makes a great yeast nutrient is yeast. If you have some bakers yeast in the cupboard, a spoonful of that would also be helpful.

Yes, I read that on here after I’d picked up a tub of DAP from Wilco
Edit: Just read your post again and it appears you are suggesting to possibly use both?

You could use a bit of both, the DAP acts as a nitrogen supplement, the bakers yeast would be primarily useful as a zinc source.

The baking yeast used before or in the boil of course. Gotta kill it and bust it open. I dried a load of kveik but it got too hot and died and I throw chunks of that in the boil.
