Hi, I top cropped yeast from Wyeast 1469 on the 14 Sept. It's been living in my fridge in beer since. I'm planning to use this for my next brew and wondered if anyone can let me know if my proposed method is good. This is my first attempt at making a starter.

I've tried to use the calculator in Brewers Friend and I think I need to make a 2l starter (I will be using LME) with a gravity of 1.036 ( the o.g. Of my beer will be 1.046). I input that I'm planning on a brew volume of 13l. Does this sound ok? As I don't have a magnetic stirrer I'm just planning to gently swirl it a few times. I also want to make sure I don't over pitch. If this will be too much I guess I can split the starter and keep half for a future brew?
Cheers.
