Hi 2nd post.
Been reading cider related topics with great interest.
Have youngs cider kit, just waiting for first larger to ferment, almost done.

have i got it right,

(1) add 4 x 1 Litre pure apple juice (replaceing 4 L of the total water) in place of 1kg of suger OR both suger and 4L of apple juice. Thia done to enhance the apple flavour.

(2) should I add the half crushed Campden tablet to the water, before adding to the kit/juice/suger mix.

(3) will 19-20 C be ok (as people say Fermantation Bucket will be + 2 C anyway) or should I buy a heating frementation tray and set at 25C.

any help greatfully accepted.

Dave

from what I recall concentrate has 250g per litre so go with that, but check your label to make sure.

I was thinking about doing the TC with Bramleys myself 5L juice, 2 mashed bramleys and a cup of tea. As some people have said the kits still taste kitty

Add the campden tablet to the water first.

19-20 is a great temp save your cash.
