Hello folks, joined the site recently. Last brewed anything about 35 years ago and have got a few wines on the go.Time on my hands now. The forum looks good and a great source of info which I have already used for a carrot whiskey.
I am brewing a bohemian pilsner in a conical fermenter. It's the first time I have used the lager profile (as opposed to ale). It has now gone into stage 4 lasting 30 days. I am assuming that it is now conditioning the brew since fermentation is now finished? I am unsure how to proceed? Is any further conditioning (secondary fermentation) necessary ?
I am using an Inkbird for the first time with a heat mat. Do I
1. Put the probe between the mat and my plastic fermenter
2. Fix in to the outside of the fermenter with tape.
3. Drill another hole in the lid and put it in the wort and seal with tape
Hi. I noticed from one of your posts that you are in bury and was buying RO water from local fish shop. Could you tell me which shop it was as I also live near bury and am thinking of getting into all grain soon and the water is soo hard. Thx
