It'll be fine I'm sure. Roll on payday for me will be brewing again. Mate who dies kits want to brew something proper. He loved the Nelson one I made recently. So thinking an American hopped one. As he loves IPAs. Poss Amarillo and simcoe? Might use same grains as did in the Nelson. Really like how that turned out.

Honest to god i thought i did that 2 weeks ago  do you think this one will clear ok ?, If it does or doesnt il be sending you some :thumb:

Maybe! Maybe not! But the best IPA s aren't clear. :thumb:

I think Amarillo goes well with Simcoe, Centennial, Citra, or Cascade. Others too, I'm sure.

I was meaning two hops, Amarillo plus one of the others. Centennial and simcoe are both really good for bittering, if you use one of those.

But you could use three hops obviously!

Brewdog did a festive beer which was hoppy madness. I asked which hop it was and it was a single hopped simcoe. Smelt and tasted very good. So might do that and Amarillo with loads of late hops and lots of dry hopping. As love the aroma and loads of hop flavour in that Nelson one.

Decided to brew this again in the morning as it was so good

Hello Stevie. Without reading all 70 pages, did you ever use that red x malt you bought? If so, what did you think?

Looks like a winner Steve. Must get round to using sum summit at sum point.

Cheers Stevie, missed that thread. I was going to make a hoppy red beer with Amarillo, would this work do you think?

Got some more Citra for my Citra/Mosaic this week, gonna cram 200g of each in there, should give it a punch.

Your summit and Amarillo sounds good.

This will be my last 19>23 ltr brew as my shiny new gear turned up so i will be brewing 50 > 70 ltrs from now on:grin:
