Yeah I'm not sure on the dessert stout fad. Apparently Amundsen do some really good ones so I might give them a go.I agree. I tried this a few weeks back and thought the same thing. But then I decided I couldnt buy something called a Tiramisu Stout and then complain it tasted like dessert.
It does seem to be hard to find Stouts that arent full of sweet additions though. Just a phase the market us going through?

I don’t as a rule dry hop, I mostly make bitters stouts etc, where this isn’t the norm. But I decided to give @Hazelwood Brewery Summer Breeze a try, but rather foolishly when I saw use leaf hops for the dry hoping I thought pellets will do, so I tossed them in the fermentor and when the beer was ready for the keg turned on the tap and transferred straight to the keg.
A few weeks later I was eagerly anticipating a glass hooked up the tap, and got a spluttering of beer, then nothing. turned up the pressure no luck. Eventually I decided, to check the ball lock unscrewed it and found it full of hop derbies, cleaned it and reattached another spluttering of beer and then stopped. In the end I came to the conclusion I had no choice but to decant it into a new keg (through a siphon with a mesh filter at the end.
Well onto the beer itself it’s six percent (underestimated my efficiency and overcompensated on the base malt) hoppy and really easy to drink for a six percent beer.
I will make this again but will probably put the hops in a mesh bag in the fermentor and possibly run the beer through a muslim cloth when legging.
oh it’s an excellent beer, but a case of not thinking things through just glad I had a spare keg to decant into. Makes me wonder how exactly you are supposed to keg a NEIPA which have huge amounts of dry hops.Oh no! I’m pleased you like it at least. You can use either leaf or pellet but need to leave the hop debris in the fermenter. I use an auto-syphon with a filter on the end to decant the beer into a keg (as you did in the end).

Take-out from one of my my locals. The Farriers Arms in Mersham. Its a beer they brew in their own micro brewery. Very nice it is too. The chap kindly gave me one of their glasses too

I think that means you need a clean glass.Despite how the glass looks carbonation is fairly gentle
