    Just bottled b&m real ale kit with 500 grams of brewing sugar and 300 grams of beer enhancer to 11 litres came out at 5.25 %abv should be a good pint of which I have 19 can also buy 12 litre fv bucket for & 7.99 comes with syphon and cleaner at b&m cheers Andy

    yes think ill hold temp for 30 mins at 65-70 then give a boil, cheers andy

    about to do a coopers irish stout, but for a change im going to steep some flake barley and chocolate malt for 30 mins bring to a boil add some dark spray malt and east kent goldings hops boil for an hour, then add this to the coopers kit in the fv, is this alright to do more just wandering...

    true just thought emptying and filling bottles straight away would be alright as bottles would be sanitized and clean already due to heath and safety in this country.

    do i need to clean full unused pet bottles bought unopened with plain soda water in, i was thinking just emptying then filling with coopers ceveza as they are sealed and ready in factory so sanitizing as already been done, im pretty sure this is ok anyone done this, cheers andy.:cheers:

    sounds good ive added treacle in the past think thats the same as molassaes, but in the mash should i just mash the grains i use then boil them then after that poor into bucket with coopers kit and mix. or boil coopers kit with grain mash only i heard coopers kit dosnt really need to be boiled...

    maybe i should do a mini mash then this is new to me, im still looking on line for speciality grains that will give good head retention plus some kind of nice flavour, buying my kit next monday so hopefully ill have it sorted by then, love this hobby though always new things to learn and enjoy...

    yes ill have to look into it think definately flaked barley as that will had a nice smoothness and head retention iv'e heard, just have to think of maybe one more add on, cheers andy

    im thinking of doing a coopers stout kit, but steeping 500 grams of flaked barley, and about 250grams of chocolate malt, then adding to kit any advice out there thank you andy. :drink:

    so long as it turns out nice i dont mind, i got mine for a knock down price was on offer for £37. 00 i think, plus i got a tenner knocked off, as when you spend a £100 over time, you get a tenner , so for £27.00 happy days cheers andy.:-D:cheers:
