    Hands

I don't get too anal about it. Just wash with an anti-bac soap and that's it.

    Addidng Yeast

I think either will do you fine. When I did kits I rehydrated the yeast first then beat the hell out of the wort when it went in, but TBH, sprinkling and leaving worked just as well.

    Fridge for Cornies

I get two in mine but can't tell you what it is. Doubt whether it's still made to be honest, it's de-badged and looks a bit rough - got it off Freecycle. Looking at it, it's no wonder they wanted to give it away but it cleaned up okay, works a treat and I can get 2 cornies in, plus room for a...

Well done young fella. Just watched it now - fair play to the beeb too, they did a good job with that.

    corny kegg questions!

I don't bother priming my kegs. I let the beer drop bright before transferring to the corny (or transfer it and add finings if I'm in a rush). Then carbonate the beer with the CO2 as you mention. I wouldn't get too worked up about temperature and pressure ratios to start with. I like my beer...

    Bareass Bitter

I didn't like Windsor when I first used it, but it turns out that the off-putting taste was down to the amber malt I used for the first time too. I'm definitely not an amber fan  Windsor has given me good results since but I doubt it will get down to 1010FG as indicated in you recipe...

    Keg Vs Bottle problem

And the reason the bottles are clearer is that the yeast has much further to fall in a keg, against a very short drop in a bottle. Bottles will always clear more quickly.

    YEAST!!! I've Gone Full Circle...

Indeed it was. Fermentation kept at 19deg so temp not responsible for the climb out. I put it down to good aeration :D

    Aurora subsitute?

A fellow brewer of mine did a Deuchers type beer recently. Wasn't meant to be a clone, just something in the ballpark and used Fuggles, Bobek and Willamette, along with Aurora, if thats of any help. I can truely say the resultant beer was divine.

    Aurora subsitute?

I'm not sure anyhting really comes close to Aurora but I think Styrian Goldings would be similar, although the AA of the two is usually very different so you might need a shedload

I've had problems with S-04 going ballistic in the past too. Fitting a blow off tube helps. :thumb:

    Meet Betty

Jeez, and your now in sunny NZ and I'm still on my waterlogged plot in Wiltshire. Been trying to get down there for the last couple of weeks but it's just to wet to do anything at the mo. Had some Gooseberry plants turn up today too, so I'm going to have to heel them in until it dries up a bit...
