    beer to gassey

hi i have in my keg a rather nice sundew which has been priming for 4 wks now, but it's really gassey. when i open the tap it flys out. do i simply release some gas by undoing the cap? it settles down but it's way to lively. i did prime my barrel with 130 gms of sugar - i usually do that.
