After brewing a beaverdale Shiraz over a couple of months ago. I wasn't that impressed with the finished results after 28 day. The wine though is a lot better now though about 2 months on.
I currently have a WinExpert Classic 30 Bottle Chilean Malbec brewing. Just degassed it after 18 days. I...
I have done a beaverdale Shiraz 30 bottle. From start to bottling took just over a month. It doesn't taste like any Shiraz I've ever tried. Tastes like a more acidic grape juice. Gravity was spot on at 990 when bottled. It is alcoholic due to experience. Is it because I should leave it bottled...
I will be bottling my 30 bottle beaverdale Shiraz kit this evening.
I have acquired 30 bottles from wine my wife and I have been drinking the last couple of months or so.
After drinking the wine I have immediately rinsed with warm water. Will I need to clean them with a cleaning agent or can I...
The home made degasser and drill worked a treat. 4 inch of foam on top after a minute with drill. Made a mistake though. I didn't shake the Kieselsol sachet before adding. Will this cause issues? Thanks
I have a 30 day beaverdale wine kit. However instructions could be clearer.
My question do I add stabilizer and leave for a few days then start degassing or add stabilizer and Degas's immediately?
Also I have made a degassing wand with an electric drill. How many times a day and how many days...
It bubbled for about 3-4 days after it was racked. Another question. Do I add stabilizer and start degassing immediately. Or do I leave for a few days before degassing?
The instructions state if I want a sweeter wine I should transfer at 5 days from the beginning of fermatation when gravity is 1010. So I should have transfered all contents of bucket sediment and all?
I'm confused. I though the idea of putting into secondary fermenter was to stop the wine having contact with the dead yeast. Will it effect the alcohol content now fermentation has stopped?
