    Oaking a Flanders Red

Cheers sounds like a good starting point - do you think that would hold if staves were used instead of cubes(have read that having more end grain with cubes might not be the best)

    Oaking a Flanders Red

Hi All, So I've had a carboy sitting around for a while that I've had earmarked to start brewing some long term sours in and with my second child due in a few weeks I thought it would be cool to brew a Flanders Red and ferment with the WYeast Roeselare blend and serve up on her first birthday...

CO2 Regulator thread sealant (gas leak)

That's my first thought of where it could be leaking so will see how the jointing compound goes and if no luck will grab some of the yellow ptfe tape.

CO2 Regulator thread sealant (gas leak)

Definitely sure - I just have the tubing incoming from the primary reg (all leak tested and primary reg holds pressure for 24 hours) and a stop valve and plug on the outlet of the secondary reg. I've broken down the reg and tried some Fernox LSX on the gauge and grub screw and waiting for that...

CO2 Regulator thread sealant (gas leak)

Oh that;s interesting! if that's the case I wonder if I could use loctite 567 which I've got on hand. Also I am right in thinking that the regulator should hold pressure and not drop right?

CO2 Regulator thread sealant (gas leak)

Hi All, I've recently purchased a set of the Shako regulators that @peebee highly recommends. I have set up however when testing by pressurising and then isolating the regulator it is losing approximately 3psi over 24 hours. I have sprayed with soapy water and can't find any leaks but as it...

CO2 Regulator leak from weep hole

Hi All, I've been doing my head in trying to trace a gas leak in my Keezer and after stripping back to just the primary regulator with a tapped outlet with stopper on the outlet there is still a leak. I have tested the usual way by pressurising the system turning the valve on the CO2 tank off...

    Stainless Pots

Definitely! Been there done that, not to worried about the price (within reason) if it's going to be good quality and lasts.
