Evening all. Got a Brewferm Grand Cru that I am going to bottle later. I have sets of instructions. One says 90g per L and the other 72. One also says to reduce to 6g PerL if FG is 1.012. It has stopped at 1014. I don't want flat beer or beer claymores. Any advice?

Just done a brand new Coopers Mexican with malt/dextrin and bottled water. All went great until I opened the yeast sachet. I noticed about 30% ish were brown not white. Something I've not noticed before. Is this normal? Will my brew be ok? I pitched it anyway as I guess leaving till Monday...

This is mine after 5 and a half weeks. Definitely getting better. I will be making it again with dextrin/spraymalt and bottled water rather than brewing sugar and tap water.

I think (sure someone with more knowledge will correct me) but dry hopping is putting the hops into the brew direct or "dry" rather than making a tea and putting the liquid in.

My dad made this when he was younger and according to legend :hmm: my granddad was offered a glass of blended whisky and my dad gave him the carrot whisky and he never realised! I have some doubts myself as a big (ish) whisky drinker. What sort of ABV can your expect?

Cheers. Might give that a go. I actually have the coopers pilsner but I'm a bit out off by the temperature guide for the yeast (needs colder that I've done before) so I was thinking of leaving that till winter.

Hi all. I know this thread has no posts for a few weeks but I'm looking at the pub route for bottles and was wondering if there was a quick n cheap way to get labels off. Some I've tried are welded on! Leffe come of easy, which is handy as the beer is nice too.

Hiya. I've just done brew 3 addictive isn;t it? Dry hops/hop tea is probably my next step too.

Another big whiskey fan here both Scottish and American. Anyone tried Jack Daniel's single barrel or Maker's Mark?

Not tried any homebrew yet but got one at 8% and one about 4.3% Shop bought then 5-7% is my preference. 6.6 seems to rock (Leffe and Peroni Gran Reservia).
