    brilliant thankyou aleman! sounds like a nice simple one, would this type of recipe be better with a liquid pilsner type yeast or would i get fair results with dry lager yeast?

    Hey guys, does anyone know of a decent pilsner recipe for extract/partial mash? I really want to try a pilsner but cant find any decent recipes, i already have a kilo of dry malt extract - is this any good? or should i stick with LME? any ideas are appreciated!! alex :drink:

    Bucket rather than boiling pot?

    Would it be easier/any better to forget the boiling pot idea and just go with converting a fermenting bin into a boiler? my dad is rather handy so he offered to do so, im just in the dark about how exactly to go about building a plastic boiler?

    thanks for the advice, was not sure if galvanised was a good idea or not - glad i checked! can anyone recommend a cheap place to get a brew pot from? everywhere i've seen them have been 20 quid and up.

    Thanks MCollins, what type of american hops are there for aroma? I can get hold of most through the internet since I have no LHBS (damn those expenisve delivery charges!) I've heard of cascade hops - are these for aroma?

    should i be worried?

    Thanks for the advice, the yeast is a lager yeast so 11 degrees is optimum for it. I'm just really unsure how to strain the tiny pieces of hop still floating in the lager before I bottle it? Don't want pieces floating in my bottles! Lol any suggestions or tips for next time? Alex
