I'm looking to create some sort of pressure regulation system for my King keg, which means I need to adapt the valve on the lid of the KK to either 1/2" or 1/4" bsp in order to attach a regulator to it. Can anyone tell me what size and pitch the thread is on the S30 and the smaller 8g gas bulbs...
Hmm yes I've looked at those sparkler taps myself before and wondered if they'd be any good.
The other thing I've thought about is working out a way to attach something like this

to the top of the keg lid, then the inlet of the regulator...
Heya guys!
Fair while since I've been here but I'm getting back into brewing and started a festival kit in the FV yesterday, my question today is to do with kegging though!
I've got a king keg and tried a couple of different taps on it now, with the same issues - far too much foam when...
If it tastes great and the gravity has been the same for a few days, then I can't see why you wouldn't be able to bottle it. If it's some form of infection then you'll probably find out in a few days when it starts blowing bottles, at which point I'd bin it. Otherwise leave it, give it a few...
Just tried my Betterbrew Czech Pilsner today after 7 days in the FV and the hop flavour is phenomenal! Can't recommend this method enough and it's perfect for anyone who wants to add some extra bite to a kit without breaking the bank.
Out of all the kits I've done so far, I've never had one...
Yep, never been to the one in Brighouse, but Chris at the Morley home brew shop is excellent and I've got virtually everything off him so far. He does a late night closing on a Thursday (6.30pm) which is very useful. Normal hours are 9am-4.30pm Monday-Saturday.
I'll bear that in mind cheers :D
Right, we're at the 7 day point and still the occasional bubble from the bubbler. It's sat at 18 degrees for the majority of the time apart from the warm start.
Just had the lid off for a hydrometer check and we're at 1016 now (temp corrected). So that's 3.6%...
Excellent. The wherry is a good kit, but be weary of stuck fermentation. Should you suspect this, just attempt to raise the heat a little for a day or so, if it's still not doing much then give it a good firm stir, but try not to aerate it too much which should get it going. If it's started ok...
Holy thread revival batman..... Yes I know it's an old thread but I've picked it up in a search
I was wondering with this BIAB method and no-chill... Is it possible just to drop the hot/boiled wort into a sanitised fermenting vessel to leave overnight to cool? I presume it will need...
Just got mine on the go today. I'm quite a hop fanatic so I've boiled up some extra hops for mine in a standard saucepan for some extra oomph....
60 mins - 10g (ish - rough handful) Admiral
10 mins - 10g Saaz (as above )
Tasted the wort after I'd checked the OG and well... perhaps I've...
Possibly it's been a little on the cool side which is why it's taking longer. I presume your hydrometer readings are still dropping or are you going off the bubbling action?
