Hi Redsoxs,
What type of heater did you go for in the end, what was the wattage of the heater (200w, 300w etc)?
I have been looking at proper brewing Thermistat heaters and they range between £20 - £40 each where you can buy a 300w Aquarium version for £10
Thanks for the feedback
Mike

Hi Duncs,
After reading your post I had a brief look around and the Coopers Cerveza seems like the best bet so far so thank you for that one. I don't really have any temperature control of any sort at the moment, I am looking to buy a Thermistat controlled heater for wine, but I have no way of...
Hey all,
I want to try and brew a lager either from a kit or ingredients, I am after a lager that is not too heavy with out a strong after taste and a little on the sweeter side (something like a bud or miller light) so my question to you all is simply..

Hi HLA91,
I recently spoke to my local recycling centre and asked them to hold any good quality DJ's for me, went back week later and they had saved 8 superb quality 1 gallon glass DJ's and 1x Half Gallon, bought the lot off of them for £2.
I intend to use the half gallon one to make some...
Many thanks for the very warm welcome guys,
I can see my tag name has raised some questions so I feel I should explain.
There is a fantastic Chinese Restuarant in Andover that we have been visiting since we moved here some 10 years ago, we have slowly got to know the owner of the restaurant...
Hey all,
OK I just racked off my wine into another dj and whilst at it I did a reading from my hydrometer which sat nicely at 1004 right in the middle of the yellow stripe that says "bottle now" (obviously it needs to clear somewhat) I will keep up the racking unitl it clears and then bottle...
Hi Moley,
I did strain out the flowers and lemon rinds at day 3 (so I got that bit right yippee) and I have racked off the sediment once and to be honest it looks like it could do with it again (I'll do it today / tomorrow) whilst doing this I will test with my Hydrometer and add the readings...
