    Moving House-Pub Me!

I thoroughly second both Siren and Binghams breweries. I enjoyed the tour at Binghams - plenty of samples to drink, and I got to have a good chat with both Chris Bingham and his head brewer (whose name I can't remember). Pub-wise, should you wander up to Reading my favouries are The Greyfriar...

The Myth of the Boiling Point

And I now understand why I had 100ml of water suddenly explode out of its measuring jug and all over the inside of my microwave! Must have been because I boiled it once, which knocked most of the air out of it, then when I boiled it again it superheated... Interesting read - thanks for that!

    Easy kegs, mini kegs

If you can't find any in your locals shops it might be worth seeing whether your local breweries do them - the two I have came (filled with beer!) from the Rebellion and Loddon Breweries. They're exactly the same as the one you pictured (albeit with the brewery's branding on them).

    Wadworth JCB Help!

I'm just finishing a barrel of this at the moment - couldn't agree more. There's a lovely hoppy flavour at the end of it. It's a bit too bitter for my other half, but that just means she's left it all to me... It was my first full length brew from Wheeler's book. A good choice!
