    Sorry, sadly yeasty

    Am I the only one who gets excited when, 24 hours after extraction, I shake my newly extracted bottled yeast jar, crack it open and it makes an escaping gas sound. This evening, I even give a little whoop. Especially satisfying where I really don't think it'll work. Sad, sad, sad. Sorry.

    Restarting fermentation after fining?

    Copper hop filter

    I'm updating my brewing system to a three pot gravity fed system ready for winter which will hopefully require a little less intervention in the cold and rain. Why shouldn't I use a piece of drilled 22mm copper pipe as a hop filter? Will I be copper poisened or will it just affect the taste...
