    Good point I don’t want to change too much so would rather stick with dry yeast to start, any recommendations? Used saflager s23 and mangrove jacks m54 recently.

    Thanks for the reply chaps, gonna try recipe rather than a BIAB, after reading a few things I think it’s best for me. I got a Burco boiler to cook (so I can adjust the size of batch to match) and a brew fridge to use a good lager yeast

    I never got any banana aromas... but unfortunately I never give it a diaceytl rest which has given it a buttery taste I know it’s late but my advice is to Give this kit diaceytl rest!!!

    7 days in now, gravity is currently 1.016 yesterday was 1.018 (SG was 1.042) and more foam compared to yesterday as well... so it looks like it’s just a slow burner, happy days!

    I think it's stuck, just down to the 2 readings of 1.018 which were 2 days apart. I'll take another reading tomorrow and see if it's moved. What do usually up the temp to? An extra 2-3c?

    Sorry MyQul dont know how much yeast is in one of the sachets, just used the sachet. do you think i'll have enough yeast? or has the yeast gone into hibernation? and will upping the temp to 19-21 kick it back into gear? Also if I added yeast, would I just ignore the original yeast...
